ETHOS is a unique partnership among government, industry and non-government partners and was created as an independent and accountable organization to ensure the environmental, economic, social and cultural sustainability of BC’s tourism industry. Focusing their efforts on the 18,000 tourism businesses in BC, ETHOS provides the tools they need to implement sustainable business practices.
ETHOS’ goals align with the provinical government's target to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 33% below 2007 levels by 2020 and 80% below 2007 levels by 2050.
Recognizing that individual tourism operators are the key to reducing the industry’s overall carbon footprint, Gobi has partnered with ETHOS to provide the carbon management tools they need to help them achieve their goals.
