Members get free access to Gobi’s Newsletter and Discussion Forum. This lets you stay up to date with carbon related news, as well as ask questions and share ideas with experts and other organizations committed to reducing their carbon footprints.

GobiSOFT is a comprehensive, online system for organizations of all levels to measure, track, report and manage their carbon footprints, or for consultants to manage their clients' greenhouse gases.

GobiSOFT is a subscription-based system available in three versions. Your choice of version depends on how many business units will be included in your organization’s greenhouse gas inventory. The Small version is designed for small organizations with only one business unit. The Small version costs $29 per month. The Medium version is designed for mid-sized organizations with up to five business units. The Medium version costs $69 per month. The Large version is designed for large organizations with unlimited business units. The Large version costs $99 per month.

Subscribers get access to an easy-to-use comprehensive tool set to measure, track, report and manage their organization’s greenhouse gas inventory. Features include:

Yes, you can try out a free demo version of GobiSOFT. It is fully functional with a test data set, but does not allow new data to be entered or saved.

GobiSOFT uses the accounting guidelines of “The Greenhouse Gas Protocol” published by the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. This Protocol is the international accounting tool most widely used by government and business leaders.

All data used in gobiSOFT are based on credible, published sources, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Environment Canada, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.K. Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). Each year, we undertake a thorough review of all data sources to update gobiSOFT with the most current information available. A report of all emissions and energy conversion factors used in GobiSOFT is available for download to subscribers.

GobiSOFT contains extensive online help resources and tutorials to get you up and running in no time. You can also use Gobi’s Discussion Forum to get your questions answered. Yes, GobiSOFT can be used anywhere in Canada. GobiSOFT’s data sources are customized for each province.
