GobiSOFT is a comprehensive, online system for organizations of all levels to measure, track, report and manage their carbon footprints, or for consultants to manage their clients' greenhouse gases.

GobiSOFT is a subscription-based system available in four versions. Your choice of version will depend on your organization’s specific requirements. The Express version costs $69 per year. It is designed for small businesses with simple operational structures and basic carbon accounting requirements. The Regular version costs $500 per year. It is designed for mid-sized organizations with more involved operations and requirements. The Premium version costs $1,500 per year. It is designed for larger organizations with more complex structures and advanced requirements. Yes, you can try out a free demo version of GobiSOFT. It is fully functional with a test data set, but does not allow new data to be entered or saved.

GobiSOFT uses the accounting guidelines of “The Greenhouse Gas Protocol” published by the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. This Protocol is the international accounting tool most widely used by government and business leaders.

All data used in gobiSOFT are based on credible, published sources, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Environment Canada, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.K. Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). Each year, we undertake a thorough review of all data sources to update gobiSOFT with the most current information available. A report of all emissions and energy conversion factors used in GobiSOFT is available for download to subscribers.
